Meet March 31, 2008 (or March 23, 2009) at the historic Hotel Patio Andaluz in Quito, a city which is, itself, a World Heritage Site. Rooms double occupancy, private baths at both Patio Andaluz and the gorgeous Hacienda Cusin in Otavalo. Fees include a wonderful breakfast panoply each day plus 4 dinners.

MEXICO

Meet on-site in Oaxaca – the renowned and stunning Spanish colonial city. Lodging at the lovely Casa Colonial, right in Oaxaca’s wonderful historic district. Rooms double occupancy, private baths. Fees include lavish Mexican breakfasts, 2 dinners. Book flights through Mexico City or Houston to Oaxaca.

THE HIGH SOUTHWEST: Canyon Country!

Meet on-site at the Inn on the Alameda in Santa Fe – our 'jumping off point' for the week. Accommodations for our tri-state excursion into the High Southwest are inns/bed & breakfasts/ hotels chosen because of their setting and their history! Rooms, double occupancy, private baths. Fees include 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, as well as our many excursions, including our final day at San Felipe Feast Day (April) & 8 Northern Crafts Market (July). Meet on-site at Recapture Lodge in Bluff, Utah, situated in the midst of one this country’s most awesome landscapes. Fees include all breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners and an array of excursions – trips within the Navajo nation, our daylong raft trip and abundant opportunities to see the incredible rock art (petroglyphs) so unique to this area of the U.S. Rooms double occupancy, private baths. SWEDISH SUMMER: The Stockholm Archipelago!

Meet on-site in Stockholm at the boutique Villa Kallhagen Hotel, right on the water with fabulous views and even a jogging and bilking path at our doorstep – a delight! Rooms double occupancy, private baths. Fees include lavish Scandinavian breakfasts, 2 dinners.

ITALY: Tuscany!

Meet on-site at Il Paretaio – a charming farm/villa in the fabulous Tuscan countryside mid-way between Florence and Siena. Rooms double occupancy, private baths. Fees
include all breakfasts.

REGISTRATION & TRAVEL NOTES

WORKSHOPS: Enroll in 1 workshop only.

DEADLINES: While there is no deadline for registration, we advise registering as early as possible since our groups are small (12 people maximum) with most workshops limited to 5 participants and often with waiting lists

NOTES: On occasion we have commuters and/or a friend or relative who accompanies a
participant. In either case, regardless of degree of participation in a program, the fee is 85% of the full tuition, lodging, meals and field trips fee for the week.

FEES for the week remain the same, whether for double rooms, triple suites and regardless of type of bed.

TRAVEL from the airport to our hotels is not included in your fee — however, Horizons will
help coordinate arrangements. Please do not book flights until you have received a
formal written status confirmation from Horizons.

SINGLE ROOMS are occasionally available – when this can be arranged the additional fee is $485 per program week for the U.S, Central and South America; $850 for Europe; $1285 for Asia. Conversely, if we cannot assign a roommate, a supplement of 2/3 the single room fee will be charged (80% for Asia).

NOTE: Participants understand that all programs are for adults only (minimum age is 22).

A NOTE FOR TEACHERS: Teachers frequently come on our programs to gather enrichment material to use in the classroom AND/OR to accumulate credit hours for certification.

CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT: Registration must be accompanied by a $400 deposit plus a $45 non-refundable Registration Fee. The balance is due 14 weeks before the start date of each program (except for Asia which is due earlier). Program size is limited and filled on a first-come first-served basis. Registration Deposit is refundable up to 14 weeks prior to the program (18 weeks for Asia), with balance of Full Tuition, Lodging, Meals refundable up to 12 weeks prior to the program (16 weeks for Asia)– both less a $150 Withdrawal Fee (cancellation must be received in writing). Book flights ONLY after you have received formal written notification to do so. There will be no reduction of fees for late arrival, early departure, or cancellation for medical or other reasons including strike, war, acts of God, civil disruption, weather & quarantine, after the 12 (16)-week notification period.HENCE, WE STRONGLY ADVISE PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE.

LIABILITY WAIVER: As a condition of enrolling in the Horizons Program, participants agree to assume all risk for personal injury or loss of or damage to personal property and further agree that they will not hold Horizons responsible or liable for any personal injuries that may be suffered or theft of or damage to any personal property that may occur. See Conditions of Enrollment, which all participants also accept, for further liability waiver conditions.
