MOROCCO! Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains

April 21 – 27

Morocco piques the imagination with images of Berber tribes people, mud- walled kasbahs, vibrant souks and startling colors. This gorgeous and dynamic country lives up to its exotic profile, while being a wonderfully easy place to get to and to visit. Marrakech – known as the Jewel of the South – sits in ochre and salmon pink splendor at the foot of the stunning snow capped Atlas Mountains – a gorgeous and beguiling place to spend time! Our trip is a synthesis of this Berber heartland of the country – combining both Marrakech and a grand finale at Kasbah du Toubkal, a fabulous eco-lodge and mountain retreat. The Kasbah is perched at the base of the high Atlas Mountains in a valley where cherries, walnuts and apples are grown, surrounded by Berber villages and breath-taking views. A perfect and diverse trip for enthusiasts of every stripe – from arts, to cuisine, to verdant valleys and majestic mountains....much to savor and enjoy. Rooms double occupancy, private baths at the beautiful Riad El Fenn in Marrakech – a boutique riad whose wonderful location is also just steps from the medina – and the Kasbah du Toubkal.
